Location
We are located at 11217 Strang Line Road, Lenexa, KS   66215. We are just east of I35, south of College Blvd and on the east side of Strang Line Road.

Safety Issues
The city building code for Lenexa requires that we meet the same fire code of a nursing home, due to the number of participants in wheelchairs who can not self-evacuate in case of a fire.

Evacuation Practice
Staff is knowledgable about how to get everyone out of the building in case of a fire or other emergency. 

The state requires we practice fire drills monthly. We have pull stations by the exits, smoke detectors, heat detectors, and sprinkler system. If any of these are activated the alarm company automatically calls the fire department. We have horns that sound and strobe lights to indicate if we need to evacuate.

The state also requires us to have a plan in place for tornado/severe storm, loss of electricity, gas leaks, and any other plan we may need to evacuate for.

CPR Training
The State requires all staff to be current in both CPR and First Aid. Staff members who administer medication have to have completed a medication administration class.

The Board meets quarterly and more often if a need arises. The board reviews funding, expenditures, fundraising, policies and procedures.
